Call for papers

We invite abstracts (in English) for 20-minute talks (plus 10 minutes for discussion) presenting unpublished original research in all areas of Chinese linguistics (excluding applied linguistics and teaching of Chinese), for example: 

  • Diachronic or synchronic linguistics
  • Phonology
  • Morphology
  • Syntax and semantics
  • Writing
  • Field linguistics
  • Theoretical linguistics
  • Dialectology
  • Typology
  • Historical linguistics
  • L1 acquisition
  • Heritage language
  • L2 acquisition (description of the linguistic system of non-native speakers)

Important information

Presentations will be onsite only. Online participation will be possible for non-presenting audience only.

Papers that are included in the program must be presented by the author(s) and cannot be presented by proxies.

All presenters must be(come) members of the European Association of Chinese Linguistics. Please refer to the EACL website for details (www.chineselinguistics.eu/membership ).
