Panel ‘The Morpho-syntax of Aspect’
The topic of the panel will be the morpho-syntax of aspect from both a diachronic and a
synchronic perspective. Contributions on the history of aspectual marking in Chinese including
morpho-phonological studies on Chinese with respect to the aspectual structure of vP are
cordially invited together with synchronic research on the aspectual structures of Sinitic
languages. Contributions may concentrate on the phonology, morphology, and/or syntax of any
variety of Chinese. This includes also research conducted with computer linguistic means.
